Abstract
Climbing For The Girls is a long-form web article centered around the theme of women's empowerment through sports participation, particularly rock climbing. It follows the narratives and insights of Janine Dueñas and Thea Sace, founders of the nonprofit Allez, Ale!, in their experiences of challenging stereotypes and inspiring female climbers. Chosen for their significant contributions to the Philippine climbing community, they actively organize events and initiatives, fostering a supportive and friendly atmosphere for women. As the local climbing scene continues to grow, this project aims to inspire Filipino Gen-Z women to embrace the sport for empowerment and partake in the next generation of female climbers. In line with this target audience, the web project adopts a dynamic editorial style, utilizing immersive visual content, interactive elements, and captivating graphics to engage readers and encourage scrolling through the end. The project is written based on a semi-structured interview conducted with the subjects, which was later on designed by the proponent on a website builder platform.
