Abstract
This academic work pushed the researchers to peruse whether or not the practice of the bondage, discipline, sadism, and masochism as a sexual act amongst sexual partners is in accordance to the 1987 Philippine Constitution, RA 9262, and the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The study aims to examine the compliance of the act of BDSM to public policy. The researchers found that BDSM violates the current Philippine laws and despite of a person's right to personal autonomy, the right is subject to exceptions that makes it limited. The act of BDSM is dangerous and must be regulated. It is against public policy because it poses a threat to the general welfare of the people. It is dangerous act that can be detrimental to those engaged in it. Therefore, the researchers conclude that BDSM is an offense and there shall be an act that will prohibit the BDSM play for the protection of every sexual relationship in the Philippines.
