Abstract
This paper is a comprehensive report on the practicum period and study conducted under the Office of the Executive Director for Campus Development (OEDCD) of De La Salle University - Manila in order to identify potential improvement areas and propose forms to enhance its processes and documentation activities. Good project management procedures may be second nature to project managers, but proper documentation helps reduce errors and prevent the repetition of previous mistakes. The goal of the practicum project is to determine the baseline processes and possible weaknesses in the processes of the OEDCD and develop tools to address the weakness areas of the office. This study excludes financial components of OEDCD projects and processes, as well as ISO documentation standards compliance. The proposed Scope Definition Form, Project Success Evaluation Tool, and Stakeholder Register were evaluated using a Likert scale based on the team's rating of their completeness, integration with current procedures, ease of use, improvement in data collection quality and completeness, improvement in collaboration between the project's stakeholders, expectations, improvement in efficiency, degree of recommendation, and effectiveness. The Scope Definition Form was evaluated favorably by 71% of the respondents, indicating that the tool improved their existing processes. Similarly, 100% of the respondents expressed a positive inclination in the Project Success Evaluation Tool and Stakeholder Register evaluation, indicating that the tools aided the team and improved their current workflow. Improvements can be made to the study by incorporating the perspectives of additional project participants, such as construction management teams and contractors, as well as including cost-related and administrative processes.
