Abstract
Parkinson’s disease (PD), which remains with no cure, is the second most prevalent neurodegenerative disease. However, there is growing speculation that caffeine consumption may reduce the risk and progression of PD. The potential of caffeine to provide neuroprotection against PD was determined through a meta-analysis, with four exploring the effect between caffeine and the risk of PD, while three studies focused on caffeine's impact on the progression of the disease.
