Abstract
This quantitative study intended to determine the effect of leadership style of the deans, accountancy chairpersons, and vice chairpersons on BSA student performance and faculty effectiveness. The Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) was utilized to describe the leadership style of the academic leaders of the schools, colleges and universities offering BS Accountancy in Region IX. Faculty effectiveness was measured based on job performance (Job Performance Scale), job satisfaction (Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire), and self-efficacy (Teacher Self-Efficacy Scale). Student performance was measured based on the CPA board examination ratings for the period May 2013 to October 2017. The data gathered were analyzed using Multiple Regression Analysis. The findings showed that the leadership style of the academic leaders has an effect on student performance and faculty effectiveness.
