Abstract
Oscar Luis Amoedo Valdéz fue un médico y odontólogo de gran prestigio internacional, el precursor y fundador de la Odontología Legal. Con el objetivo de caracterizar sus aportes a la Odontología Forense que lo hacen acreedor de ser nombrado el Padre de esta rama, se realizó una revisión bibliográfica donde fueron consultados 10 artículos históricos utilizando libros, artículos en soporte digital, el buscador Google académico y otras bases de datos como Scielo, Medline y PubMed. Se concluyó que de sus obras, la que marcó el comienzo de la Odontología Legal, es “El Arte Dentario en Medicina Legal”.
