Abstract
The following is shown: age and sex standards for the physical development of children and adolescents should be regional; dependence of indicators of physical development on environmental and socio-economic factors affecting the territory of residence; the need for constant monitoring of the physical development of children and adolescents with a recheck of regional standards, taking into account the ongoing processes of acceleration and deceleration.
