Abstract
In the process of studying at a higher educational institution, students go through many difficulties: a sedentary lifestyle, constant mental activity, lack of time for physical activity, fatigue, burnout, bad habits. A real helper in such a situation is Physical Culture and Sports, which are taught in higher educational institutions on a mandatory basis. Why sports are necessary for students and how they affect mental activity is the subject of this work.
