Abstract
Pretendemos nesse ensaio estabelecer diálogos entre teorias curriculares e o processo de inclusão e exclusão em educação, sob a perspectiva dos estudos culturais. Usaremos uma estrutura explicativa que vem sendo elaborada desde o final dos anos 80 (BOOTH, 1981), referente à compreensão dos processos de inclusão/exclusão, que se manifestam por meio de três dimensões: a da criação de culturas, a do desenvolvimento de políticas e a da orquestração das práticas de inclusão/exclusão no interior das instituições e sistemas. Nesse trabalho procuraremos articular a relação entre currículo, cultura e poder com os processos de exclusão vinculados às barreiras à aprendizagem e à não-participação no processo de escolarização.
