Abstract
In the context of the debate about «error», this article intends to analyze «error» according to International Law. For this, the question of the use of force by the State is reviewed, specifically taking into account the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles. The «error» under analysis often occurs outside the context of an armed conflict: the fight against terrorism. There are other contexts in which the state, or private companies, is agent of the «error» under analysis — that was the case of international presence after the conflict in Iraq in 2003; or the fight against maritime piracy. The analysis of International Law about the use of force is intended to demonstrate that, in fact, the «error» under analysis is sometimes very close to the practice of internationally wrongful acts.
