Abstract
A method for calculating the configurational entropy of computer-built random models of hard spheres is proposed which combines Matheson's algorithm with the random sequential filling of monomolecular layers. The density dependence of the entropy is discussed. The method is also applied to a non-uniform random system, the hard-sphere crystal-melt interface.
