Abstract
This paper will attempt to set into perspective the magnitude of the problem of homograft procurement for the paediatric population. We thought it would be useful to have an estimate of how many homografts and of what size might be required for a given population. While we cannot speak of the use of homografts for aortic valve replacement in the adult population, we are able to speak of the potential use of this tissue in the paediatric age group.
