Abstract
The design of computer controlled microwave system for SMC polarized target is described. The microwave system consists of two Extended Interaction Oscillator(EIO) tubes, power attenuators, frequency counters and power meters. A personal computer(PC9801) is interfaced directly to the microwave components for control and feedback, using ADC’s, DAC’s, digital read-outs and GP-IB. The operator controls the elements and monitors them from micro-VAX which is connected to PC9801 through RS232C interface.
