Abstract
We present a new 6-cm radio map of Uranus that shows latitudinal features probably caused by vertical motions in the atmosphere. A comparison with older data and Voyager infrared measurements suggests that large-scale vertical motions have not changed significantly in the last 8 years, and that these motions are deep seated and extend from the 0.1- to the 45-bar level—a height of 250 km.
