Abstract
A haemâcarbenoid has been proposed to be involved in abiological enzymatic reactions. Now, Hilvert and co-workers provide crystallographic evidence for a haemâcarbenoid intermediate as the reactive species in an olefin cyclopropanation reaction catalysed by an artificial metalloenzyme.
