Abstract
To advance to water sensitive cities (WSC) it will be necessary to achieve the commitment of the citizens, involving them in this transition. Citizen participation is considered essential, and one of the possible approaches to achieve this is through Design Thinking (DT), a human-centered methodology that allows creating a framework to develop the hydrosocial contract. The Suez group proposed the challenge of collecting initiatives to achieve more efficient use of urban water in homes, by conducting a pilot in one of its investee companies, Aguas de Huelva. Our research proposal, selected by the Suez group, to achieve greater engagement of households regarding efficient water use, was to develop a web-based prototype applying DT methodologies, which would allow us to generate new messages and meanings regarding water, producing an innovation of meaning that would enable tracking the progress of the results. This article describes the approved framework to carry out the pilot experience in the homes of the city of Huelva in Andalusia, Spain.
Para avançar rumo a cidades sensíveis à água (WSC), será necessário obter o comprometimento dos cidadãos, envolvendo-os nessa transição. A participação cidadã é considerada essencial, e uma das abordagens possíveis para alcançá-la é por meio do Design Thinking (DT), uma metodologia centrada no ser humano que permite criar um arcabouço para desenvolver o contrato hidrossocial. O grupo Suez propôs o desafio de reunir iniciativas para alcançar um uso mais eficiente da água urbana nas residências, conduzindo um projeto-piloto em uma de suas empresas investidas, a Aguas de Huelva. Nossa proposta de pesquisa, selecionada pelo grupo Suez para alcançar um maior engajamento dos domicílios em relação ao uso eficiente da água, consistiu em desenvolver um protótipo baseado na web aplicando metodologias de DT, o que nos permitiria gerar novas mensagens e significados quanto à água, produzindo uma inovação de significado que viabilizasse o acompanhamento do progresso dos resultados. Este artigo descreve o arcabouço aprovado para a realização da experiência-piloto nas residências da cidade de Huelva, na Andaluzia, Espanha.
