Abstract
Neste trabalho pretendemos analisar a preocupação com o desempenho, vigente na sociedade contemporânea, e questionar a sua caracterização como algo de índole pessoal. Para tal, pretendemos refletir sobre a conformação de uma sociedade esportivizada gerida pela lógica empresarial e sobre a valorização de um estilo de vida que normaliza uma incessante procura pela melhoria da performance e espalha seus efeitos nos mais diferentes campos da existência.
