Abstract
Señor editor: En Chile, la reforma de salud trajo consigo la implementación de los Establecimientos Autogestionados en Red que comprenden aquellos recintos hospitalarios dependientes de los servicios de salud con la mayor complejidad técnica, desarrollo de especialidades, organización administrativa y número de prestaciones, lo que les permite mayor espacio para la toma de decisiones, flexibilidad y autonomía para la asignación de recursos, estableciendo una nueva modalidad de gestión, junto con el fortalecimiento de la participación ciudadana.
