Abstract
We study the initial value problem for the quadratic nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation โ๐ข=โจ๐๐๐ฅโฉโ1๐ข2, (๐ก,๐ฅ)โ๐ร๐, ๐ข(0,๐ฅ)=๐ข0(๐ฅ), ๐ฅโ๐, where โ=๐๐ก+๐โจ๐๐๐ฅโฉ and โจ๐๐๐ฅโฉ=1โ๐2๐ฅ. Using the Shatah normal forms method, we obtain a sharp asymptotic behavior of small solutions without the condition of a compact support on the initial data which was assumed in the previous works.
