Abstract
Program bimbingan pengguna diadakan. apabila sebuah perpustakaan/pusat informasi menawarkan pelayanan baru, bisa juga karena adanya klien baru. Di samping itu, program bisa mengurangi keraguan klien untuk memanfaatkan sarana penelusuran berkomputer, kepercayaan diri, dan diharapkan dengan adanya program ini terjadi kontak antara pustakawan dan klien. Penulis kajian ini membagi program bimbingan pengguna di PDII menjadi dua, dan membahas keuntungan dan kelemahan kedua bimbingan tersebut.
