Abstract
The historical photos and panoramas play a key role in the spatial reconstruction of the territory. Since 1960, town centers and urban landscapes, but also seaboard and mountain areas have been increasing landscape transformation, it is not governed by an appropriate national and regional legislation. Comparing historical images to shooting today’s, it follows immediately that the landscape is changed in favor of an increasing number of urban settlements, with the consequent erosion of green areas and agricultural land as well as the replacement of historic buildings by recent construction. Although the project of new Regional Environmental Landscape Plan is at the drafting stage now, Marche region, in the past, spoilt the landscape heritage by industrialization and the need for new urban – housing zone in favor of largest cities and tourist zone.
