Abstract
El dibujo periodístico es una modalidad iconográfico, empleado por lo general como subgénero, para ilustrar un texto, el cual tiene intenciones documentales o interpretativas, y que puede ser elaborado en el escenario de los hechos o a partir de la lectura de un trabajo periodístico. En este artículo, el doctor Abreu explica las tres primeras partes de la definición, vale decir, lo relativo al aspecto iconográfico del dibujo de prensa, su uso como subgénero y la noción de ilustración.
