Abstract
In the Bajio Experimental Station of the INIFAP, Celaya, Gto., Mexico, it was evaluated the effects ot two soil water potential (–0–08 MPa y –1.4 MPa), in two crop´s phenological stages, before and after flowering in the response of two sorghum lines (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench), B–18–B (L1) and RTx430 (L2). The evaluation by the drought resistance was considerated physiological indicators such as leaf–water potential and stomatal difussion resistance, effecting the plant growth analysis. The RTx430 (1,2) line showed greater stomatal sensibility, net assimilation rate and vegetative recuperation, maintaining lesser leaf number in the plant and leaf area thereby it was obtained greater grain yield and water use efficiency, this result indicates that the R 1x430 (L2) is drought resistant.
