Abstract
Preservar o meio ambiente e garantir o desenvolvimento econômico são os objetivos da sustentabilidade ambiental. As atividades administrativas são regidas por cinco princípios estampados no art. 37 da Constituição da República de 1988 (CR/1988). Em especial, destaca-se o princípio da eficiência. Este artigo analisará a sustentabilidade ambiental e a eficiência na Administração Pública brasileira, bem como sua nova perspectiva principiológica sob os auspícios da sustentabilidade ambiental. Será utilizado o método analítico e interpretativo, pesquisa descritiva e de levantamento bibliográfico. Demonstrar-se-á que a eficiência da atividade administrativa, para a boa administração pública, precisa passar pela releitura da sustentabilidade ambiental.
