Abstract
Este trabalho teve por objetivo analisar a atuação dos Clubes 4-S (saber, sentir, saúde e servir) e sua implantação por meio do Serviço de Extensão Rural em Minas Gerais, entre as décadas de 1950 a 1980. Como recurso metodológico, apresenta abordagem qualitativa, utilizando-se de pesquisa documental e bibliográfica e da realização de entrevistas semiestruturadas realizadas com extensionistas que trabalharam com a juventude rural no âmbito dos projetos desenvolvidos pelo Clube. A partir da análise dos resultados, conclui-se que a Extensão Rural, por meio das ações do Clube 4-S possibilitou mudanças no meio rural, no entanto, algumas transformações não alcançaram toda juventude, o que culminou em um processo de exclusão no meio rural.
