Abstract
Освітлено деякі напрями сучасних психологічних досліджень проблеми виникнення страхів у різні вікові періоди. Основними теоретичними й емпіричними результатами розглянутих досліджень є доповнення науково-психологічних знань щодо особливостей емоційних станів особистості, особистісних та соціальних страхів, психологічних детермінант виникнення та подолання страхів, динаміка перебігу страху на різних рівнях. Маловивченою галуззю в сучасних дослідженнях залишається проблема вивчення особливостей страху, психологічних детермінант виникнення та подолання страхів у період ранньої дорослості.
