Abstract
Upper Paleozoic beds of Karavanke Mountains are rich in invertebrate and plant fossils, while the remains of
vertebrates are extremely rare. A new cladodont shark tooth was found in Lower Permian beds near Hru{ica, at the
locality named Na Visokih. We have identified the tooth as belonging to species Glikmanius cf. occidentalis (Leidy).
This is the first find of this species in the southern Europe.
