Abstract
Este é o segundo número de Arqueologia Pública. A revista foi lançada na reunião da UISPP, em Lisboa, em setembro de 2006, em um contexto internacional. O foco do primeiro volume foi a divulgação dos estudos e práticas públicas da disciplina por parte de brasileiros. Se no âmbito mundial a Arqueologia Pública já estava a se projetar havia algum tempo, cabia mostrar como também em nosso país a disciplina voltava-se para a interação com as comunidades e grupos sociais envolvidos com seu patrimônio cultural. A diversidade como valor e o reconhecimento da importância da ação com a variedade de componentes da sociedade brasileira visavam explicitar o caráter social da Arqueologia. A acolhida em Lisboa foi muito positiva.
