Abstract
O presente trabalho tem por objetivo estudar os grupos humanos pré-coloniais do Parque Nacional Serra da Capivara, a partir da perspectiva do sociólogo norte-americano Talcott Parsons, partindo da concepção da sua obra sobre a estrutura da ação social. Dentro desse contexto, será utilizada uma abordagem sociológica para o entendimento da dinâmica social desses grupos humanos que viveram por milhares de anos na região do Parque Nacional Serra da Capivara, produzindo uma diversidade de registros e vestígios arqueológicos como ferramentas de rochas lascadas e polidas, cerâmica, pintura e gravuras rupestres.
