Abstract
This study deals with an uncommon aspect in the analysis of mining in. México: the geographical View of contemporary mining. With this aim the following basic questions are addressed here: what are the mining production areas, the labour force settlements, the places for mineral processing and the location of mining enterprises? The study refers only to the exploitation of metallic minerals (iron, non-ferrous and precious metals) and coal production in Mexico.
