Abstract
Cuban progressive philosophical legacy in Medardo Vitier the most momentous systematizer thereof, from Jose Agustin Caballero to José Martí. It is one of the most representative intellectuals and important personalities of Cuban culture and philosophy, characterized by honesty and identity vocation for knowledge.
His work shows the consistency of Cuban ideology of the nineteenth century, the valuable and complex of nineteenth-century thought. Studies, analyzes and extracts the essences of the highest Cuban tradition with a unique cultural and historical spirit. It is also a production which expresses and transcends Cuban culture, to hold and to continue the rich tradition of Cuban philosophical thought. Consequently, this paper aims to analyze from the epistemological point of view the elements of his philosophical knowledge.
