Abstract
Relacionamos a revolução epistemológica associada à ascensão do conceito de visão subjetiva – desenvolvida no romantismo e fundamental para o modernismo – com modos de conceber arte e educação. Ressaltamos que tanto romantismo, como modernismo, pautaram-se por um humanismo que celebrou, quis proteger e estimular impulsos descritos como disposições naturais dos seres humanos. Salientamos, porém, que tais movimentos mascaravam assim sua atuação em estratégias disciplinares que construíam o sujeito moderno.
