Abstract
Las investigaciones sobre los instrumentos de planeamiento difícilmente abordan aspectos de la práctica.Se desarrollan, generalmente, a través de la investigación básica y mediante metodologías de tipodeductivas. No obstante, algunos recursos propios de la investigación cualitativa enriquecen su estudio,ampliando su significado social y disciplinar. También exponen rasgos significativos sobre la prácticaurbanística. En este artículo, argumentamos la aplicación potencial de un recurso de la investigación cualitativa,la “reflexión desde la práctica”, según los postulados de Donald Schön. Esto se evidencia en laimplementación de este recurso a un tema concreto de investigación, los “instrumentos urbanísticos dealcance supramunicipal”, y a tres casos de estudio, los Planes directores urbanísticos de las ComarcasCentrales de Cataluña.
