" .. na zona sul do Estado de Minas Gerais. Sua área é de 461 Km2, tendo coordenadas geográficas 229 04' 40" de latitude sul e 469 35' 00" de longitude W. Gr. Sua posição relativa à capital do Estado é O. S. S., na distância de 365 Km em linha reta. Al-titude 900 m. Temperatura em graus centígrados: média das máxi-mas: 24, das mínimas: 19, compensada: 21" (1) .
