Abstract
Resumo O presente artigo analisa a tradução que Machado de Assis fez do poema "Serenade", do poeta norte-americano Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, que não está listado nos levantamentos feitos tanto por Jean-Michel Massa quanto por Eliane Ferreira. Com base no texto-fonte encontrado, realizamos um estudo crítico do poema, cujo título foi traduzido como "Lua da estiva noite", analisando os procedimentos tradutórios de Machado e estabelecendo vínculos com sua produção autoral.
