Abstract
Se presenta en este artículo la compleja historia de la traducción alemana del cuento “El Aleph” de Jorge Luis Borges. Tras analizar sus múltiples versiones se elabora un enfoque especial en los poemas, que consideramos como parte significativa de la narración. Esto servirá para perfilar cómo se van modificando poco a poco los poemas en la versión alemana y en qué medida esto puede influir en la consideración de la complejidad literaria del texto. Llegamos a la hipótesis de que ninguna traducción se realiza fuera de su contexto correspondiente, sino que se puede considerar también como reflejo de los discursos cambiantes respecto a la obra de este autor en el curso de la segunda mitad del siglo xx.   Abstract First and foremost this paper wants to present the complex translation history of the short story “El Aleph” by Jorge Luis Borges. By analyzing its multiple versions we will focus especially on the poems that we consider of significant importance for the narration to discover to what extent this could have an influence on the interpretations of the literary complexity of the story. Finally we propose the hypothesis that no translation can be realized outside its corresponding context, but that it could be considered a reflection of the changing discourses concerning this author during the second half of the 20th century.
