O presente trabalho dedica-se a compreender as razões pelas quais Theodor Adorno defendia o hermetismo no plano filosófico e no plano estético. Busca, do ponto de vista filosófico, relacionar estilo e epistemologia. Do ponto de vista estético, relacionar estilo e crítica histórica. Objetiva, assim, esclarecer as posições filosóficas e estéticas, de Adorno, de um ponto de vista histórico e político.
