Abstract
Este artigo é sobre a recepção dos faits divers da imprensa brasileira do início do século XX na obra de Lima Barreto. Três eixos serão articulados: um item sobre o mercado editorial do impresso à época do surgimento das seções de fatos diversos na nossa imprensa; o segundo, sobre a revista Floreal, Lima Barreto e sua relação com a imprensa comercial; e finalmente um item com dados sobre as seções de fatos diversos dos jornais citados na sua obra em geral.
