Abstract
The article describes the effects of thyroid hormones on the cardiovascular system, their role in the development of cardiac arrhythmias and, particularly, atrial fibrillation. The clinical manifestations and current guidelines for the treatment of thyroid diseases in combination with atrial fibrillation are provided.
