Abstract
Porcine circovirus 2 (PCV2) belongs to the family Circoviridae, genus
Circovirus. Infection of swine caused by this virus is manifested in several
different clinical forms, leading to significant economic losses in swine
production worldwide. For this reason, prompt and precise diagnostics of this
swine infection is of great importance. For this purpose today there are used
molecular methods of virological diagnostics such as polymerase chain
reaction (PCR), and real-time method PCR, that is direct sequencing method by
Sanger.
