Abstract

L’articolo presenta un’intervista al Prof. Riccardo Viale, direttore dell’Istituto di Cultura italiana a New York. Dopo una descrizione della struttura dell’Istituto e delle sue principali funzioni istituzionali, vengono delineati il ruolo della lingua e della cultura italiana nel nord-est degli Stati Uniti, gli eventi più importanti proposti dall’Istituto e i progetti futuri del direttore per divulgare ulteriormente la nostra cultura.

The article is an interview with Prof. Riccardo Viale, the director of the Italian Cultural institute in New York. After discussing the role of Italian language and culture in the North East, it presents the major events organized by the Institute and the upcoming projects and programs planned to spread the knowledge of Italian culture.
