Abstract
El estudio serio sobre el proceso de negociación que puede llegar a concluir en la firma del ALCA arroja un conjunto de resultados que parecen exigir una reflexión ética y teológica sobre el desafío que representan para los pueblos de América, tanto para los ricos y fuertes del Norte como en especial para los más pobres y débiles de América Latina y el Caribe. Los desafíos siempre convocan a pensar y elaborar respuestas que los enfrenten desde niveles diferentes de la existencia humana. Para todo ser humano es indispensable hacerlo en el nivel ético.
