Abstract
Parece una obviedad señalar la importancia de san Francisco en el pensamiento de la Escuela Franciscana. No obstante cuando hablamos de la lectura agustinista de los filósofos y de los teólogos franciscanos establecemos una dicotomía entre aristotelismo y agustinismo en la que se nos olvida con frecuencia la figura de san Francisco de Asís. Queremos señalar la impronta de la teología sanfranciscana en la interpretación agustinista de la naturaleza como complemento a la lectura que Buenaventura realiza de Aristóteles.
