Abstract
The features of lengthwise symmetry of monocarpic shoots (on example of changing of the length of internodes in its elementar metamers) in more than 60 species of half-shrub and grass plants from the family Lamiaceae were studied. The statistically representative plots of changes of this parameter for the most species appeared to be one-vertex, but very different by shape and specific. Two- and multi-vertex plots characterize limited number of species and appear as a result of quantized growth of shoots.
