Abstract
Purpose. The purpose of this article is to study the problems of formation and development of innovative models of regional transport infrastructure management from the viewpoint of modernization of the integrated transport system of the Russian Federation.
Methodology. The study presents the concept of formation of the management mechanism of the regional transport infrastructure development, based on the research of innovative methods of management, by the interaction of economic entities of regional infrastructure and municipal and regional authorities. Also in the article is presented the analysis of the prospects of innovative development of the regional transport infrastructure, which allows to modernize timely and adaptive the infrastructure of the regional economic space.
Results. As conclusions, the author proposes to create an innovative model of the mechanism of regional transport infrastructure management, which leads the integral transport system in the region out to a new institutional level.
Practical implications. The results can be used by regional authorities in the preparation of regional development programs and the formation of organizational structures within the system of regional and municipal authorities.
