Abstract
Es uno de los objetivos centrales del texto tratar de comprender el proceso de formación de la “comunidad política imaginada” de la Monarquía española, esto es, los lazos políticos establecidos entre la Corona y sus Reinos, villas, ciudades o provincias, a partir del análisis de las invocaciones, las definiciones y los usos del concepto de patria en una sociedad que tan solo experimentó el nacimiento de la prensa y el periodismo a finales del siglo XVIII.
