Abstract
O estudo apresenta a composição gravimétrica dos resíduos sólidos gerados no Festiqueijo 2007, festival gastronômico realizado anualmente na cidade de Carlos Barbosa, no Estado do Rio Grande do Sul. Foram coletados e pesados os resíduos de todos os setores durante as quatro semanas do evento. As maiores frações de componentes presentes na composição desses resíduos são: vidro (81,79%), papel e papelão (5,49%) e matéria orgânica putrescível (4,60%). Estudos dessa natureza permitem a reflexão sobre o gerenciamento dos resíduos sólidos para os próximos festivais ou para outras atividades gastronômicas, auxiliando no preenchimento de lacunas existentes no planejamento ambiental de eventos gastronômicos.
