Abstract
Este artigo traça os rumos tomados pela montagem da ópera Abul, de
Alberto Nepomuceno, desde sua composição à sua estréia em Buenos Aires e
Rosário, na Argentina e Montevidéu, no Uruguai. Para tanto, basearemos-nos em
entrevistas e artigos de jornal publicados na imprensa desses locais, visando
entender e analisar os fatos ocorridos naquele ano de 1913 e os fatores envolvidos
nas histórias de sucessos e fracassos da ópera naquele ano de 1913.
