Abstract
El presente trabajo busca ingresar en el problema de la imagen moderna a partir de las nociones de Pathosformel y Allegorie. ¿Qué es lo que caracteriza a la imagen moderna? ¿Cómo nace, se construye y sobre qué pilares? A partir de ello se buscará establecer el carácter crítico de la imagen: ¿en qué medida la imagen constituye en sí misma una herramienta de investigación para el estudioso de la historia y la cultura?
