Abstract
Le radicalisme épistémologique qui anime la géographie
depuis les années 1960–1970 a conduit à ce que
la géographie contemporaine constitue un espace privilégié
de créativité. Cette effervescence doit inciter
à repenser les modes de catégorisation de l’activité
scientifique, pour en livrer une description plus réaliste.
S’essayant – autour des savoirs émergents des
Études urbaines – à un exercice d’épistémologie appliquée,
cet article reconsidère les notions d’épistémè, de
paradigme et de programme de recherche et propose
un mode de représentation plus apte à restituer le
quotidien du travail conceptuel du géographe.
